Saul and Giulia would like to record their sorrow at the death of Frank Kermode, who passed away, aged 90, on Tuesday, August 17th 2010. Frank wrote some of the best literary criticism of Shakespeare you can find anywhere and his books, 'Shakespeare's Language' and 'The Age of Shakespeare' are superb. If you have missed either of these books, read them now and share with us a real appreciation of a master craftsman |

For english speaking people: Corrado Panzieri, explains where Shakespeare got the idea of the theatrical representation called 'The trap', in the Hamlet. According to Panzieri, this fact belongs to a true story of the Gonzagas. Further, Panzieri proposes Michelangelo Florio as Shakespeare, but this idea has to be deeply investigated, because Dott. Guido Scaramellini states that there is a certificate testifying Michelangelo Florio's dead in 1576 in the small town of Soglio. This would exlude Michelangelo Florio as Shakespeare, even if some schollers sustain this idea.
